I am Kevin Northcutt, owner & operator of Southern Oak Custom Homes. My entire life has been given to construction and I have owned and operated a successful business as a framing subcontractor for over 20 years. I have learned a lot in this time and have had the privilege to be a part of thousands of projects. I am excited to now move into the next chapter of my construction journey with the launch of Southern Oak Custom Homes.

"I’ve found Kevin to be very attentive to all of the input that I have had. He took lots of notes, which was great, a lot of detail. He has spent a lot of time communicating with me on the details and I think the results show. We are moving along very well and making great progress. So far it has been a great experience. I’m impressed with the quality of the work and the subcontractors who have done a great job. One thing I have noticed is that everyone cleans up, that may not seem like a lot, but it means a lot to me.
I have to say that I’m surprised with the progress that we’ve made so far. We’ve been fortunate with the weather, but I think that the diligence and the coordination of the sub is the reason why we are where we are…. So far the workmanship, communication, and the attention to detail has been excellent. It’s been great working with Kevin, he has been very responsive. I think that kind of coordination is a big reason why we are where we are now.
Interestingly, we haven’t really had any issues or challenges, I think this is because of the pre-discussion before we do anything. Before each subcontractor we have had discussions and this has prevented us from ever getting off the rails. Communication up to this point has been A+."
